Rare Pennsylvania Blanket Chest decorated by the “Deep Run
Decorator” retaining its original salmon paint with yellow moldings and
decorated with a sechstern on the lid, tulips on each end and cat’s eyes on the
front, a lift lid concealing a hinged til, two overlapping drawers below and
turned feet.
All original. Paint faded and lacks its original Sandwich glass knobs.
Bedminster, Bucks Co., Pennsylvania, circa 1830.
Width 38 1/2”, depth 19 7/8”, height 26”.
