Rare Pennsylvania Blanket Chest decorated by the “Deep Run Decorator”
retaining its original salmon paint with yellow moldings and decorated with a
sechstern on the lid, tulips on each end and cat’s eyes on the front, a lift lid
concealing a hinged til, two overlapping drawers below and turned feet.
All original. Minor repair at rear of right molding.
Bedminster, Bucks Co., Pennsylvania, circa 1830.
